Ain Gide

Description:

Ain Gide is the General in charge of Kwaba Fortress. He's known for letting Tir, Viktor, Gremio, and Cleo pass, despite recognizing Tir. He's an old friend of Teo's, which is why he does Tir this one favor. Ironic that he then decides to attempt to stop Flik, Viktor, and Tir from entering Gregminster Palace after the Imperial Army has already been defeated...

Aesthetics:

Ain Gide looks different. He has really big brows that sort of make him look like a caveman. He's not really attractive, but he looks different from the others, and I happen to think that's a good thing. Kind of like an ugly Vegeta with a goatee... B

Personality:

I happen to think that Ain Gide has a pretty realistic personality. He sees his good friend's son, and does him a favor. Of course, his personality is flawed, like most of the characters from the original, because he's inconsistent. Despite letting you pass earlier, he then decides to make a completely useless stand at Gregminster Palace after the entire Imperial Army is defeated. "If I betray his majesty, who will he have left...?" Look, you let us pass once already, asshole. You're not stopping this train of 108 people, ok? Step aside, dumbass. Him dying for the Empire makes no sense at all, but something tells me that this might've been done on purpose, because Viktor makes the remark, "What a waste." Yep, thanks for shitting on our parade there, Konami. B

Usefulness in Battle:

N/A

Overall:

Ain Gide is an awesome character from the original game. Especially when you consider his role is so minor, you have to appreciate that he isn't completely lame. However, he does act completely irrational at the end, which doesn't seem consistent with his personality. Thanks for making a character that was almost good... Almost. B
