| Description: | Chris Lightfellow is the daughter of Wyatt Lightfellow and Anna Lightfellow. In Suikoden III,
she serves as the captain of the Zexen Knights, taking the mantle of leadership when former Zexen Knight captain
Galahad and Vice-Captain Pelize were killed in an ambush by Grassland forces. In recognition of her bravery and
gallantry in battle, she has received numerous titles including that of "Silver" or "White Maiden," and has been
referred to by her comrades (and enemies) as a "Goddess of War." In Suikoden III, she is first seen leading a parade
of Zexen knights, which earns her quite a bit of publicity and popularity with the Zexen citizenry.

Wow. Of any character that you can control for a significant amount of time, there's no question that Chris is by far the best-looking one. None of the other heroes, or Flame Champion choices even come close. In fact, if I were to give my honest opinion, I'd say that Chris is actually the most attractive Suikoden Character period. Or most attractive of any RPG game, either. And that says quite a bit, in my book. S |
| Personality: | In addition to being smoking-hot, Chris also easily has the most well-developed personality in the game. She's incredibly humble for her character, charming, and even caring. She also strikes me as someone who is very much down-to-earth. This is displayed when Lulu bumps into the knights on accident, Chris goes out of her way to apologize for the incident, despite the fact that Lulu behaves like a red-haired bastard child (which he is). However, she is a bit naive, and idealistic, which causes her to become extremely frustrated in dealing with the bastards that run the Zexen Council. This also becomes apparent when she meets Yun in the Alma Kinan village, as she doesn't quite understand why a young girl need be sacrificed. Still, she is an ideal leader in all respects. She's charismatic, valiant, charming, intelligent, and loyal... Which she'd have to be in order to actually listen to the stupid council members. S |
| Usefulness in Battle: | I think even if you really, really insisted that all your characters have some sort of magical ability... You'd still at least appreciate Chris' combat abilities. She's easily the best character in Suikoden III in terms of just physical attack and defense, and regardless of what true rune she ends up with, she'll have some ability to use it. The Phoenix Rune that she starts out with is kinda' stupid, and I don't really see the point in using it to unbalance her for a turn, when she attacks twice once her swing skill is at B or higher. It sucks that you can't remove it, either. Regardless of that, there really isn't a much-better tank, or even damage-dealer in Suikoden III. It's scary to think how awesome she'd be with a fury rune attached to her. Oh yeah, and did I mention you can level her up to 99 in this game? S |
| Usefulness in War Battle: | Simply put, she is The Goddess of War. I really don't think there is anyone better in the war battles in Suikoden III... And if you put her with Borus... OMG. That equals pwnage. The only time she isn't totally awesome is when she uses that stupid Phoenix Rune... And even if she does, it usually equals a one-hit kill. If she's LV 99, she can win you any major battle by herself. S |
| Overall: | The worst thing about Chris is that she isn't the Tenkai Star. Thomas is... She's the best character that Konami has ever come up with, and it's a shame that she wasn't given a chance to be the first female Tenkai Star in Suikoden, because she's damn deserving of that. In any case, Chris is the best thing in Suikoden III. Not even Geddoe punching that tool in Le Buque is as awesome as Chris. It also helps that Chris has the best supporting cast (aside from that ass-clown, Nash) of any of the Flame Champion choices. Geddoe comes close, but Hugo... Yeah. Anyway, it also probably helps when of the six knights, Leo and Roland are easily the most lame... And if Leo and Roland are the worst you have to overcome, then you're looking pretty good! S |
