Hugo is the son of Lucia, the Karaya Clan chief. He's also friends with Lulu, Sergeant Jordi, and he has a
griffon named "Fubar." We know what Fubar means... Anyway, Hugo plays an important role either as your Flame Champion, or
as a commander in your army. After the events in Suikoden III, he becomes Chief of the Karaya Clan.

I've actually always liked the way that Hugo looks. His hair isn't bad, and his green eyes are nice. He looks
pretty cool for a kid. The only knock on his outfit is that he seems to be wearing "Hammer Pants," which is a big... WTF. To
display what I'm talking about, I included a YouTube clip of MC Hammer's video "U Can't Touch This." Love the pants. A- |

Well, Hugo is a kid. Take that for what it is. In this regard, Hugo behaves pretty realistic for being a kid.
the problem with that is that Hugo seems to be the most obvious choice for Flame Champion, being from Grassland and all.
Nobody wants a hero who acts like a kid. Anyway, his personality isn't too bad, as I've said. It's realistic for a kid's
personality. He's reasonably pissed when he sees Lulu struck down, but he's too young to take into account why the Zexen
Knights might've attacked his village and thus hates the Zexen Knights unconditionally until they're forced to join forces. B |
| Usefulness in Battle: |
Hugo is pretty damn sweet in battle. He attacks three times a turn, which I think is more than any other character.
This alone makes him really good. Skill-wise, he's the most ideal Flame Champion, though even he's not that good at fire magic.
Go figure. Hugo is accurate, and if you sharpen his weapon all the way, he's a force to be reckoned with. A |

Hugo is good here, too. His attacks transfer over to the war-battles, so he's kicking ass here, as well. A |
| Overall: |
Hugo is easily the best character from his own story. Big frickin' deal. He has to contend with Sgt. Jordi (sucks),
Lulu (sucks), Reed & Samus (suck), Mua & Hallec (suck) and... Lilly. (not so sucky...) Anyway, it's hard for me to enjoy his chapters
and his company, when he's surrounded by such idiocy all the time. Hugo is ok, but with the crap he's forced into, it's easy to see
why so many people do not like him. He's also named after a deadly hurricane from the 1980's Another reason to hate. B- |
