Brandeau

Description:

Brandeau used to be an infamous pirate along with Kika and Edgar. The three were very good friends. One day Brandeau, Edgar, and some visitors attacked the Pirate Steele. During the battle, Edgar was killed, Brandeau's loyal follower Peck was horribly disfigured, and Brandeau was cursed with bearing the Rune of Punishment. He left the Nest of Pirates and became a rogue pirate. Some time later, he attacked a merchant ship being escorted by the Razril Knights, with Snowe Vingerhut as captain and his trusted friend/servant Lazlo on board. Snowe fled leaving the ship to be protected by Lazlo, who dueled Brandeau and won. Rather than be captured, Brandeau used the Rune of Punishment to turn the Knights into ash, Peck included, but Lazlo was spared, just as Commander Glen Cott arrived. The Rune of Punishment transferred to Glen and Brandeau laughed and told Glen that the curse was now his. Brandeau died, shortly after.

Aesthetics:

The hardships that Brandeau has suffered shows in his whole demeanor. He has a harshness around him that just screams the pains he's suffered. He's got that classic pirate look to him, too, that I love. A

Personality:

If you don't know his backstory from Tactics, he probably just seems like some random pirate who happens to have the pivotal Rune of the game. However, I'm going to include his backstory in this critique. I really like Brandeau's character. He's been through a lot and gone through a dramatic transformation. Before he got the RoP, he was a nice, good-looking guy. Afterwards, he was a cold-hearted, shell of a man. I feel extremely sorry for him. A

Overall:

Like I said above, he's got great character development and I love that about him. A
